Messenger and PIF files

Let me be blunt about this: never open a PIF file, or click on a link to a PIF file, you receive over IM.

Folks, in the year 2005 there is no reason for anyone to be using PIF files for any good purpose.  At this point PIF == EVIL.  Just say "no".  Don’t click that link!

What is a PIF file?

A program information file (PIF) is used to control how DOS applications behave when they are running under windows.  You can read all about it here.
