New & Improved – Removed Tabs in Messenger 7.0

One of the most common questions from customers during the beta was "how do I turn off the tabs in Messenger?"

When we first shipped MSN Messenger 7.0 Beta, there wasn’t any UI for turning off the tabs.  I’m pleased to say that the Messenger team got the reedback and has responded.  Here are the new and improved steps for turning off tabs in MSN Messenger 7.0:

  • From the main window click Tools, Options.
  • Select the Security tab.
  • Check "This is a shared computer so don’t display my tabs"

yeh that works but i still have a problem with it: that option doesnt seem to save itself between sessions ie. i have to do that every time i sign in.oh and another thing: the always on top feature no matter how many times i switch it off its back on again after 1 second!!!!! aaahhh annoying

Is there any reason why you don\’t make the individual tabs optional? There are some tab (few, I admit) that are actually usefull, but many that I would never use and are just annoying.
