Hello, I need someone\’s help. I\’ve been at this all day. At first when I would try and read my hotmail (being signed in) it would send me to the sign in page and as soon as I would try to sign in and it would try to pull up then it would close. I was told it was my Norton so I uninstalled it. That didn\’t help then I was reading about all your guys having similar problems, so I checked my firewall, changed it to allow Windows Live Messenger. just go to the ..windows..drivers..etc..with note pad open the host .. and host.msn and delet all the file that ther is and save all and open the msn it ll work ;)

exit messenger
Go to START
Click RUN
and enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
click enter
Restart MSN Messenger
If this doesnt solve it, flush thr DNS cache on your machine
Go to start>RUN type CMD press enter
Then at command promt type ipconfig/flushdns hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger

I am having problems signing in to this Windows Live Messenger. Error code 81000314 is begining to bother me eminently. From reading comments above I judge this to be an error in the programming. I advise with future Windows Live products that they are tested and put through the harsh conditions before being exhibited to the puplic. I shall try Windows Live Messenger a few more times before I give in on the fact it is faulty programming and return to the old stable MSN.
Thankyou for you effots and I wish the best of luck in producing a newer, modern, and stable Messenger and other Windows Lve products.
