I get the error 810003cc when I try to sign into Messenger.

1. If you have already received and accepted an invitation to use Windows Live Messenger, and you were able to use it previously, but are now unable to use it, the following may apply:

1.a You may have been signed out of the Live Messenger beta because you opted out of another beta program. To resolve this, try to enroll yourself over again in the Messenger beta by clicking on the original beta invitation mail that you received.

 

1.b If this is not possible enroll yourself in the Windows Live Messenger beta by :

1.b.1. Go to http://ideas.live.com
1.b.2. Click on the Sign Up link under Windows Live Messenger beta.
1.b.3. Accept the Terms and Conditions and get automatically signed up for Windows Live Messenger beta

 

How to enroll your self in the Windows Live Messenger

To enroll yourself in the for the Windows Live Messenger beta

1. Go to http://ideas.live.com
2. Click on the Sign Up link under Windows Live Messenger beta.
3. Accept the Terms and Conditions and get automatically signed up for Windows Live Messenger beta.

 

I get a message that says “bad URL” when I try to accept the Messenger invite

To resolve this issue, try the following:

1. Go to

http://ideas.live.com

2. Click on the link “Beta Users sign up here” and sign in with the ID and password you would like to use with Windows Live Messenger.

3. Make sure the text on the top of the page “Welcome <User name>” displays the name associated with this account.

4. Now go back to the invitation mail you received and click on the Invite link.

5.This will ensure that you are being authorized with the same account that you signed in on the

http://ideas.live.com site. 

 

The “Download Now” button displayed on the page after I accept the Terms and Conditions does not appear to be working. How can I download Windows Live Messenger?

 

This is a known issue with some non-Internet Explorer browsers and we are working to find a solution. At this stage your account has been provisioned already and you can download it directly. We apologize for the inconvenience and request you to follow these steps as a workaround.

 

1. Go to http://ideas.live.com

 

2. Click on the link “Beta Users sign up here” and sign in with the ID and password  you would like to use with Windows Live Messenger

 

3. Make sure the text on the top of the page “Welcome <User name>” displays the name associated with this account.

 

4. Go to the section Windows Live Messenger and click on the Download link.

I received Windows Live Messenger in a different language that I want. Where can I download Messenger of my desired language?

The language of Windows Live Messenger that is downloaded is based on the country associated with your Passport Account. To download the language of your choice, you can download the packages from the links below. If you do not find the link associated with your choice of language, Live Messenger is currently not available in this language.

I am signed up for the Windows Live Messenger beta. Can I install Live Messenger on a different PC?

6. Click on the link and step through the wizard to install Windows Live Messenger.

Where can I download Windows Live Messenger beta from?

I get a “Bad Url” error message when I click on the Beta Invitations link from within Messenger

 

To resolve this issue, go directly to the http://ideas.live.com site and access your invitations from there. To do so follow the steps below:

               

1. Go to http://ideas.live.com

 

2. Click on the link “Beta Users sign up here” and sign in with the ID and password  you would like to use with Windows Live Messenger

 

3. Make sure the text on the top of the page “Welcome <User name>” displays the name associated with this account.

 

4. Go to the section Windows Live Messenger. If this account you have signed up has been registered to the Windows Live Messenger beta,  you will see “You have <n> invitations reaming”

 

5. If you have invitations available , click on the “Send Invites” link to send invites to your contacts

 

I have my family and friends who use this computer but are unable to sign into Windows Live Messenger because they do not have an invite. Can you send me additional invites?

Your friends and family can automaticaly enroll in Windwos Lvie Messneger beta by doign the following:

I have 0 additional invites and need more to send to my friends or family

The Windows Live Messenger beta team issues invites periodically after evaluating the stability of the performance of the service. We strive to ensure that our current beta users are provided with uninterrupted service before we issue additional invites.
Alternately you could request your contacts to enroll themselves directly by following the steps below:

1. Go to http://ideas.live.com
2. Click on the Sign Up link under Windows Live Messenger beta.
3. Accept the Terms and Conditions and get automatically signed up for Windows Live Messenger beta


 

The invitations I sent did not reach my contacts. Why?

If the invitations you have sent do not reach your contacts, please request them to check for any rules or filtering they may applied to the mailboxes or the mail account may have expired due to long periods of inactivity. Unaccepted invites will get added back to your account after 30 days from when it was issued.
Note: The invite can be sent to any e-mail address and does NOT have to be necessarily sent to the same account that they would like to sign into Windows Live Messenger. If this is what you would like to do, please ensure your contact follows these steps:

1. Go to http://ideas.live.com

2. Click on “Beta Users sign in here” link on the top left corner of the page.

3. Now go back to the mail that had the invite and click on the link to proceed accepting the invite.

4. Your contact will be registered to the Windows Live Messenger beta with the same account that they used to sign up at http://ideas.live.com

 

Can I run two versions of Messenger on the same computer so that others who use the Messenger everyday but do not have a beta invite can continue to sign into the Messenger service?

Messenger allows installing and running only one version at a time whether it is Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger. If your family or friends are unable to sign into Windows Live Messenger on your computer since their account has not been registered they will have to receive an invitation or they can enroll themselves in the Messneger beta. To add to wait list do the following:

1. Go to http://ideas.live.com
2. Click on the Sign Up link under Windows Live Messenger beta.
3. Accept the Terms and Conditions and get automatically signed up for Windows Live Messenger beta

 

How to opt out of Windows Live Messenger beta

1. Visit the Windows Live Ideas website

2. Click Beta user sign in here and sign in using the beta account that you wish to opt out with.

3. Under Windows Live Messenger beta, click Learn more. You can login into the site with any Microsoft Passport Network credentials, but you only see this link if you are a beta user.

4. Click Leave this beta, and then click Confirm.

5. Uninstall the Windows Live Messneger beta thrpug Add/Remove Programs.

6. If you wish to install an earlier version of Messneger, go to http://messenger.msn.com/download and step throught he wiizard to perform the installation.

 

 If these do not resolve your problem or answer any questiosn you have , please contact Support and choose Mesenger and submit your request with the following information:

1. If you encountered an error , the exact steps you followed when you encountered the error and on when you encoutnered the error.

2. What type of Browser are you using

3. Do you encounter the same error if you use Internet Explorer

    my contacts pictures are not showing up and neither on mine on their computer, also the place where you can add an addition name to you first one will not show up, its as if im using the regular windows messenger, but i have windows live messenger, the newest one you can get.. please help!!

    I see that other people have the same effing problem I do.  And I see no posted answer… Is that because you send us here to get us out of your hair?  I\’m tired of jacking around with my effing MSN.  Tell me how to fix it.  It says that I have a bad internet connection… I don\’t see how if my internet explorer is working.  Error code: 8004882c… When I searched for it after troubleshooting it told me that there was no such thing… You suck things that are very dirty….

    i cannot sign into the messenger…every time i do it says that the service is temporarly unavailable…but it has been saying that for a week now…i have tried to delete this program but it says that "the windows installer service failed to start. Please contact your support personnel." when i try to repair it..it says "the installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755"

    Hello there i downloaded the msn email beta, but found i didnt like to use it i prefer the 7.5 msn messenger works out better for me sorry about this, but i really do not want to download too many things onto my computer due to having just one harddrive i do not want to save or download too many things onto my desktop hope you understand this nothing really wrong with your new msn beta emails i didnt really have any problems with it, but just rather keep my 7.5 msn messenger ok

    I had received the wrong language version of messenger some how. But The STaff of Windows Live Messenger have been very helpful to me. I had never had actual contact with a staff from Microsoft. Now I have been very pleased that I had contact with an actual Microsoft representative, and that helped!!!! Thank you very Much!!!!!!!

    I\’m very disapointed in the staff of messenger, I\’ve been asking you hundreds of times to give me an invitation and for a good reason and each time you come up with something new exept what I want. This is not fair for your customers!!!! 10x a lot!

    I think its not much fair to get us change our windows for the messenger ..
    or is it ? ..
